Description: The New York City Department of Education (“DOE”) is seeking qualified contractors to provide Internet access at an aggregate bandwidth of 400 Gigabits per second (“Gbps”) for all schools and administrative sites for users to attain access to Internet-based information and applications. With the growth in media-rich web applications that require significantly higher bandwidth, a new contract is required to support a projected 1G to 10G bandwidth and beyond for future needs. DOE currently operates over 1,800 schools and administrative offices at almost 1,400 physical locations. DOE expects to award requirements agreements to a Contractor offering the lowest price.
