The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (“NYC Health Department”) is seeking up to two qualified vendors, to each furnish all labor and equipment necessary and required to conduct Mosquito Control-Catch Basin Larviciding services on an as needed basis within the five boroughs of New York City. The selected vendor(s) will conduct mosquito breeding surveys and need-based larviciding in accordance with permits issued by NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. There are currently approximately 150,000 catch basins across the City. During each season between April and October, or as determined by the NYC Health Department, all catch basins will be inspected, and if justified, treated at least once by hand application of larvicides. On an average, between 145,000 and 500,000 catch basin inspections and between 140,000 and 450,000 treatments (based on the inspection results) are conducted in the City each season.
