Project Title: Repair Canopy Entrance B922

Project Location: Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina

RFI/Project Number: VLSB 24-0060



1. Description

This is a Sources Sought Notice and is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). This notice is issued solely for market research and planning purposes to identify potential sources capable of providing the required construction and repair services for the entrance to Building 922 at Shaw Air Force Base.



The Government intends to award a construction contract for the repair of the entrance to the Carolina Skies Club (B922) which includes:





  • Demolition of the existing canopy, including all associated elements such as handrails, lighting fixtures, and the sloped metal façade at the entrance.




  • Installation of a new pre-engineered metal canopy with associated foundation work.




  • Construction of an accessibility ramp meeting ASCE 7-10 and Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) standards.




  • Electrical work to include installation of LED lighting and power distribution for the newly designed lighting and canopy system.





The scope of work also includes design, engineering, and installation of structural, electrical, and architectural elements.

2. Submission Requirements

Interested vendors are invited to submit the following information:





  • Company Information

  • Capabilities Statement





    • Description of your ability to fulfill one or more of the listed requirements (canopy demolition, ramp construction, electrical work)




    • Indicate your ability to perform at Shaw Air Force Base and any prior experience working on similar projects within federal or military environments.






  • Past Performance





    • Examples of recent (within 5 years) contracts of similar scope and complexity (canopy installation, accessibility ramp, and exterior construction work).




    • Include contract value, brief description of the work, and customer references.






  • Pricing Information





    • General market pricing for similar construction efforts.




    • Estimated Magnitude of Construction.




    • Note any pricing factors such as quantity or period of performance.
