STATEMENT OF WORK
Boyle County Fiscal Court seeks proposals from qualified companies to provide a secure,
automatic vehicular entrance gate system with a cantilever, slide style gate at our new
Government Service Center located at 225 North Stewarts Lane, Danville, Ky.
The property is the future home for Boyle County Public Works, Fleet Management and
Solid Waste/Recycling.

DETAIL SCOPE OF WORK
• The gate should accommodate a 30’ wide opening and a 6’ high fence
• Material should be galvanized chain link
• The gate opener should allow for multiple users
• While we prefer app-based technology, we will consider remote-control units or a
password access point
PERMITS AND LICENSES
Permits and licenses required by local ordinances shall be secured by the Contractor:
• City of Danville Business License
• Valid Boyle County Contractor License
• Registration with the Occupational Licensee Fee Office with no delinquency
• The Contractor must supply a copy of all permits to the Owner. All permits shall be
given to the owner at the Mandatory Preconstruction meeting held prior to the
beginning of construction

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
The contractor shall furnish all tools, equipment, materials, all labor, warning signs, any
necessary traffic control devices and other incidentals as required for the performance of
this contract. Only qualified permanent full-time/part-time employees trained and
experienced in doing the required work of this contract shall be used for the duration of
this project.
The work site shall be kept free of debris and daily cleanup is required. All debris
generated at the work site shall be removed by the Contractor.

No negotiations, decisions, or actions shall be initiated by any company as a result of any
verbal discussion with any County employee prior to the opening of the responses to this
RFP. Boyle County Fiscal Court reserves the right to select, and subsequently
recommend for award the proposed services/products which best meets its required
needs, quality levels and budget constraints.

are guaranteed through the project to the completion of the work.
If awarded, Bidder will be required to furnish a certificate of insurance naming Boyle
County Fiscal Court as an additional insured entity.
Bidder agrees to commence work within 14 days of the County issuing Notice to Proceed
or within reasonable time after equipment has been delivered.
Boyle County Fiscal Court reserves the right to waive irregularities or to reject any or all
bids, or a portion thereof.
