Automate Vehicle Gate Access Control

The County of Sacramento, Department of Regional Parks (Regional Parks) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to gather and evaluate the implementation of automated vehicle entry/exit points throughout the Regional Parks system. Regional Parks is seeking to further improve security, reduce traffic, and enhance efficiency.

Sacramento County's Department of Regional Parks maintains and operates more than 15,000 acres of parks throughout the County. Our open spaces, multi-use trails, sports facilities, golf courses, river access and picnic areas offer outdoor adventure for everyone. Current day to day operations require manually opening and closing the majority of the Regional Parks locations. Needs change seasonally, and a modernized approach might prove to be more effective in ensuring adherence to park hours, keep up with public demands, and offer sustainable management.
