Autoclave and Glassware Water Services

Project Description: Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a noncompetitive procurement Getinge USA Sales, LLC., for a five (5) year period, at a total cost of $99,802.17, for ongoing and as needed purchases of autoclave parts, accessories, and equipment services required in order to maintain the environmental laboratory’s existing steam sterilizer, integrated boiler and two (2) glassware washers. This equipment is required for the laboratory to maintain their National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC) Institute, Total Network Inventory (TNI) Certification compliance through the Florida Department of Health. This procurement is being made in accordance with Section 3-205(2)(e) of the County’s Procurement Policy (February 1, 2025) as the particular equipment maintenance, services, parts, and warranties for equipment, is being provided by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), and is only reasonably available from Getinge USA Sales, LLC. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly.
Contractors who believe that they can provide goods and/or services that are substantially and materially the same as those identified in the attached vendor’s Quote No. 000410903.2 (dated January 31, 2025) and sole source letter, must submit clear and convincing information to support a challenge the intended award. Challenges to this notice must be received no later than the Close Date of the Sole Source (SS) Project and must be directed to the primary contact listed above using the “messages” section in Bonfire for this particular procurement. After this date, an award will be made. The County will review properly submitted challenges (responses) to determine whether bona fide competition exists.
