Addenda: 0
Release Date: 12/10/2025
Due Date: 12/29/2025
The City of Pasadena, Department of Public Works (Building Systems & Fleet Management Division) is seeking bids from qualified, authorized Polaris vendors to provide service, repairs and genuine Polaris OEM parts for City-owned Polaris ranger utility vehicles. The City currently operates five (5) Model RT4 Polaris Ranger units: Two (2) are assigned to the Pasadena Police Department and Three (3) are assigned to the Pasadena Fire Department.
"OEM" (Original Equipment Manufacturer) refers to genuine parts manufactured by or for Polaris that meet the original design and performance specifications. "Authorized Service" refers to maintenance and repairs that are performed by vendors certified by Polaris to maintain the manufacturer's warranty and ensure proper operation of the equipment.
These units are critical to emergency response, public safety, and field operations. They are regularly deployed for emergency rescue in the City's foothill and canyon regions, and are used to patrol the Rose Bowl during large-scale events such as football games.
The awarded vendor shall provide timely parts availability, repair services, and preventative maintenance to ensure the safety of City fleet equipment. The contract term is for five (5) years.
The City operates and manages approximately 1,100 vehicles in its Fleet. Pasadena’s Fleet Management team performs repair and maintenance services on City vehicles and equipment on a routine (planned) and emergency (unplanned) basis. The five (5) Polaris Ranger units in the City's fleet operate in high-risk terrain environments and serve essential public safety functions. They require timely and proper maintenance to ensure they remain reliable, safe, and ready to use at all times. In order to meet the City’s automotive demands, the City requires an outsourced qualified vendor to provide services/parts for fleet maintenance.
