Title: Authorized Battle Motors (Formerly Crane Carrier) Service, Repair, Maintenance, and OEM Parts
Addenda: 1
Release Date: 5/26/2026
Due Date: 6/11/2026
The City of Pasadena Department of Public Works, Building Systems and Fleet Management Division (BSFMD), is seeking a qualified vendor to provide authorized Battle Motors (formerly known as Crane Carrier Company) vehicle service, repair, maintenance, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts on an as-needed basis.
Services will support the City's sanitation fleet operated by the Resource Recovery and Recycling (RRR) Division, including rear loading and automated side loading refuse vehicles. Work will include preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, engine services, and parts supply. This is an informal solicitation intended to establish a vendor for ongoing service needs throughout Fiscal Year 2027.
The City of Pasadena operates and manages approximately 1,100 vehicles and equipment units in its Fleet. This includes Battle Motors and Crane Carrier refuse vehicles that support daily solid waste collection operations. These vehicles include rear loader, automated side loader, and front loader configurations used by the RRR Division.
Crane Carrier vehicles are now supported under Battle Motors following the company's transition, and many existing units remain in active service. These vehicles require specialized diagnostics, software access, and manufacturer-approved repair procedures to ensure proper operations and compliance.
The City is seeking a vendor that can provide timely service and reliable parts availability to minimize vehicle downtime and maintain operational readiness.
