Audit Engagement Solution

The State of Minnesota’s Office of State Procurement on behalf of the Office of the State Auditor (OSA) intends to purchase CaseWare Working Papers, CaseWare Connector, and CaseWare SmartSync Server (Solution) from CaseWare International Inc. (CaseWare) for up to 5 years.

The Solution is a document management system used in the past by the OSA in financial and compliance auditing. The Solution is specifically designed to meet the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) requirements for documenting the audit process. The Solution allowed the OSA to collect supporting documentation, review, and document the review of audit work. The Solution was critical to the operation of the OSA’s Audit Practice Division.

The OSA has selected and is implementing a new document management system for audit work (New Solution). The OSA needs to purchase several licenses of the Solution to access historical information contained in the Solution for the next 3 years to support audits performed using the New Solution and for the next 10 years to meet the OSA’s data retention requirements.
