The Town of Amherst invites qualified designers to submit an application to provide design and engineering services, including preparation of general specifications and bid ready documents, for general construction bidding for the roof replacement at the Atkins Reservoir Water Treatment Building located on Market Hill Road, Amherst, Massachusetts. The fee for services is set at $50,000. Bid documents must be ready to distribute by the end of May 2025. Requests for qualifications may be obtained at
www.amherstma.gov/bids
.
Designer Application Forms with required certifications and registrations shall be submitted no later than 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, to the Town Accountant’s Office at 4 Boltwood Ave, Amherst, MA 01002.
An optional pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Amherst Atkins Reservoir Water Treatment Building located on Market Hill Road, Amherst, MA.

Qualifications:

All individuals proposed for the project must have prior similar public bidding experience on at least 3 projects under M.G.L. c. 149 in the past 3 years. The projects should have a minimum total cost of $200,000 and preferably one over $400,000.

Special Requirements:

|
Final construction bid documents must be ready to distribute by the end of May 2025.
|
|
Miscellaneous:
|
|
Appropriate, up-to-date, professional licenses are required for this project and copies must be included in the submittal.
