Athletic Fields Landscaping and Mowing Services

The City of Amesbury is inviting sealed bids for athletic field landscaping and mowing services pursuant to M.G.L. Ch 30B. All bids must be submitted by 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 to the Office of Administration and Finance located at 1 Market Street, Office 215, Amesbury, MA 01913, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids may be delivered by mail or in-person delivery only. Bids submitted via email, fax, or any other method will not be accepted. Late bids will be returned unopened regardless of the reason for lateness. Bidders assume the risk of delays in the mail or in the handling of the mail by City Hall employees. Please note that Amesbury City Hall will be closed on April 20, 2026 for the Patriots' Day holiday.

An optional, but highly encouraged, pre-bid walkthrough will take place at Amesbury Town Park (140 Friend Street) on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 11:00 am.

The City of Amesbury reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part or take whatever action is determined to be in the best interest of the City.

An addendum has been issued for IFB #26-07 Athletic Field Landscaping & Mowing Services. The addendum may be found as a related document on the city website IFB listing. This addendum includes responses to questions from prospective bidders and a change to the date and time that bids are due. Good afternoon,
As a reminder, the walkthrough for IFB #26-07, Athletic Fields Landscaping and Mowing Services, will take place tomorrow, April 15, 2026 starting at 11:00 am. Prospective bidders should plan to meet at the southernmost end of the Highland Street parking lot for Amesbury Town Park. The City strongly recommends viewing the land in person before placing a bid. Prospective bidders who cannot attend the walkthrough may still view the ballfields at any time, as the ballfields remain open to the public from dawn until dusk each day.
