DESCRIPTION:

The Government intends to use a brand name product. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for Market Research ONLY to determine the availability of Brand Name Items.

The U.S. Marine Corps Installations Pacific (MCIPAC) Regional Contracting Office (RCO) is planning on issuing a solicitation pursuant to the authority in FAR 13.106-1(b). This includes brand name components, as described in the Attachment 1 - Specification Document, unless the results of this sources sought notification indicates otherwise. The brand name justification document (Attachment 2) amplifies the governments reason for pursuing a brand-name item, this document has been provided as draft. This notification intends to identify potential sources that can provide the brand name item or equivalent. In order for alternate items to be considered equivalent by the government, the items must meet the minimum salient characteristics outlined in the Specifications Document.

Hardware, software, and related accessories are to be delivered and used in Okinawa, Japan.

The anticipated contract vehicle is a firm fixed price contract.

Instructions to Interested Vendors:

Interested vendors shall respond to this notice by providing the following information to demonstrate that products other than VingCard Classic RFID locksets system and Visionline software by ASSA ABLOY can meet the Government’s need such as:

1. Product Description


2. Model Number, Catalog Number, Code Number, or equivalent model designation


3. Manufacturer’s Technical Datasheets.


4. Published price list for the system, components, parts, servicing, and training.

Contractors shall email all capability packages, and suggestions to ayesha.enriquez.ph@usmc.mil and geronimo.lopez.mil@usmc.mil before the set deadline of this Sources Sought Notice.

Please note that this is NOT a Request for Quotation, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. There will be no debrief, evaluation letters, and/or results to be issued to interested parties that choose to respond. Information obtained from this Sources Sought notice is for market research purposes ONLY, to determine if other potential sources of supply can provide brand name items listed or RFID Locksets System that have equal performance and listing/approval requirements as the Vingcard Classic RFID Locksets and Visionline Software by Assa Abloy. All information received in response to this Sources Sought Notice marked or designated as proprietary information will not be released outside the Government. The Government shall not reimburse or assume any cost incurred by interested parties that respond to this notice.
