Asphalt Speed Hump Installation Services

The County of Greenville is seeking qualifications for the installation services of asphalt speed humps on various county roads, on an as-needed basis. The County desires to enter into a contract with a contractors capable of addressing the County's annual need to have, on average, twenty to twenty-five speed humps installed, and to provide additional speed hump installations as needed.

The County desires to enter into a one-year contract, with the possibility of four (4) annual renewals, with a contractor capable of providing the services specified herein.

For this project, Greenville County has specified asphaltic concrete speed humps as the approved traffic calming device, consistent with the County's Traffic Calming Program standards.

Per South Carolina Code of Laws Section 40-11-30 Licensing Requirements, the total cost of any project over ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) must have a General Contractors license with Asphalt Paving (AP) designation. For any project that falls under ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) the County will review the qualifications of the contracted vendors that do not have the license.
