As-Needed Maintenance & Repair of Train Monitoring Diagnostic System Equipment

Project Description: The Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District (SMART) is a Special District within the State of California that owns, maintains, and operates passenger rail service in Sonoma County and Marin County. In addition to passenger rail service, SMART is a common carrier that owns and operates freight rail services within Sonoma County, Marin County, and Napa County.
SMART is seeking Proposals from qualified and experienced firms to perform as-needed diagnostic, investigative, maintenance, and repair services on SMART’s Train Monitoring Diagnostic System (MDS) equipment originally manufactured by Toshiba International Corporation, which may include the following components:
Monitoring Diagnostic System (MDS) Unit
Central Processor Unit / Ethernet Interface Board (PU MDM)
Power Supply (AVR) Board
Digital Input (DI) Board
Digital Input / Output (AUX) Board
Serial Interface (SIF) Board
Relay (RY) Board
Train Operator Display (TOD)
Vehicle Switch (VS)
Remote Input/Output (RIO) Units and their subcomponents:
Power Supply (PWR) Board
CPU Board
Digital Input Boards (DI-1-1, DI-1-2)
Note: This list is representative and not exhaustive. Additional components originally manufactured by Toshiba International Corporation related to the onboard train monitoring and diagnostic system may be covered under this Agreement with SMART Manager approval.
