UPDATE:

October 13 2021- The TEM 7 DRAFT Agenda has been added to this announcement.

U.S. Army Network Technical Exchange Meeting 7: Delivering the Unified Network

Soldier experiences, Capability Set 25 design/experimentation, standards, unified network operations, command post modernization

ANNOUNCEMENT:

The U.S. Army Network Cross-Functional Team (N-CFT) and the Program Executive Office for Command, Control and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T), will host Technical Exchange Meeting (TEM) 7 on Thursday, December 2, in Nashville, TN (with option for virtual participation).

TEM 7 will focus on Capability Set 25 development efforts and highlight aspects of Soldier and operational feedback to date. User experiences and current operational environments have shown that capability set efforts should be transport agnostic and data centric, and offer security architecture approaches and standards to provide interoperability, accessibility, and identity management. Additionally, in support of the Unified Network strategy, the Army is focused on integration and convergence of the tactical network with the strategic network.

TOPICS:

As with previous TEMs, TEM 7 will be structured to inform industry’s research and development efforts to align with Capability Set 25 and 27+ design goals. Topical focus areas of this event will include: Infantry, SFAC, MDTF, Stryker and Armor formation user feedback; experimentation strategy forecast; standards implementation, including defined CMOSS roadmap/program office responsibilities and integration points; command post modernization; and network operations modernization.

PLEASE NOTE: TEM 7 will not present specific white paper topics. However, the discussions may inform future white paper solicitations.

This event is meant for a technical audience, to include systems engineers, architecture experts, data experts, and integrators. Each session will offer an opportunity for an in-depth discussion between audience members, Army network technical experts, and user community representatives. This will enable vendors, in an open session, to ask questions for clarification, operational understanding, and technical understanding. Each topical session will have a moderated panel that will field questions from attendees.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this technical exchange meeting will be conducted as a hybrid event, meaning participants may choose whether to attend in person (paid registration) or virtually (no cost).

Registration is required for this event whether you are participating in-person or virtually.

FOR IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE:

Attire: Military – Duty Uniform; Civilian – Business Casual

The in-person event will be held at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel in Nashville, TN, on Thursday, December 2 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. There is no dedicated block of hotel rooms at this property, but the property and adjoining hotels have availability at this time.

Current COVID-19 local community status requires all in-person participants to wear a face cover regardless of immunization status. Face coverings will be required during the entire in-person event.

In-person registration deadline is 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, October 29, 2021.

Register here if you plan to attend IN-PERSON: https://armytem7inperson.eventbrite.com

FOR VIRTUAL ATTENDANCE:

The Government will provide an MS Teams Live link for unlimited virtual attendance at no cost. Virtual attendees will be allowed to ask questions through moderated Q&A chat feature within MS Teams Live. Virtual attendees will be emailed a link two days prior to the event start.

Virtual registration deadline is 1700 EST on Monday, November 15, 2021. Register here as a VIRTUAL attendee: https://armytem7virtual.eventbrite.com

NOTE:

The U.S. Army will make every effort to hold this meeting at the dates, times, and locations specified. The U.S. Army holds the right to cancel and/or change session event dates, times, and locations under certain conditions. These conditions usually include, but are not limited to: inclement weather, event venue cancellation or rescheduling, speaker cancellation or rescheduling, and insufficient number of participants for the event. The U.S. Army holds the right to cancel the event for any reason up to and including the day of the event. If the U.S. Army must cancel the event, the U.S. Army is not responsible for costs incurred in preparation for the TEM. In the event of predicted inclement weather, a decision will be made by 1700 EST on the prior day. If the event is cancelled, the notice will be posted on this website and an email will be sent to all registered participants.
