The District of Columbia (the “District”) Department of General Services (“DGS” or the “Department”), on behalf of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (“OCME”), is issuing this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) to solicit the services of an Architectural/Engineering firm (the “Architect/Engineer” or “A/E”) to provide Architectural/Engineering services for the OCME – COOP Site (Annex) Renovations , located at 7 DC Village Lane, SW, Washington, DC 20032. The selected A/E shall be required to produce existing conditions documentation of the entire facility and to develop construction drawings and specifications for selected internal renovation projects as identified by OCME (the “Project”).
The Department requests written proposals to secure design services to prepare existing condition documentation of the entire facility and to develop construction drawings and specifications for selected internal renovation projects as identified by OCME. The A/E shall provide a program of requirements (“POR”), schematic design, design development, construction documents and associated project specifications, bid phase, and construction administration for the District of Columbia Government for the project. OCME is committed to renovating this facility to ensure that all systems function properly for the intended purpose, and so OCME’s maintenance staff has adequate system access, control, monitoring capabilities, documentation and training to properly monitor, manage and maintain the facility. The proposed improvements will meet the existing and future needs of the OCME.
