In this solicitation, the City is seeking a licensed architect with experience in the design of grounds/landscape maintenance yards for the design of a new maintenance yard at the Los Robles Golf Course . Experience in design plans for maintenance yards specifically on golf courses is a plus, but not a requirement. The City desires a pre- fabricated structure to replace the existing maintenance building . The scope will include architectural services for the design, preparation of permit drawings to be submitted to Cit y of Thou sand Oaks Building & Safety, and/or any other Authority Having Jurisdiction, and consultant services for contractor selection and co nstructio n administration . Architect/consultant shall be responsible f or all engineering disciplines required to complete the design. The selection of a c ontractor for construction shall be done through a separate competitively bid process .
The City of Thousand Oaks is located in eastern Ventura County and consists of 56 square miles. The City population is approximately 122,000. The City is a general law city operating under the Council/Manager form of government. The City Council is comprised of five elected members through district-based elections, with one member serving as Mayor on an annual basis.
The Los Robles Golf Course is located at 299 S. Moorpark Rd., Thousand Oaks, and consists of 111 acres 18-hole course, maintenance yard, practice putting green, golf course storage area, on-course snack bar, pump house, pro shop, office, club, repair room, locker rooms, starter areas, bathrooms, driving range, entry walkway, adjoining landscape, and parking lot. The City owns the property, while management of the premises and equipment is contracted out to Arcis Golf.
The golf course maintenance yard is located at 490 Greenmeadow Ave. The yard consists of a primary maintenance building, along with one secondary building, and multiple storage structures. It includes a fuel station and bulk materials storage yard (i.e. mulch, gravel, sand, etc.). The primary maintenance building includes a working shop, office, restroom, and employee breakroom.
