2026 AO Conference and Expo CART services

OOD’s preference is to award to a Contractor providing in-person CART captioning services.

Note: Respondent is required to complete the item grid and submit a formal quote. There is an optional bidders conference available. Please see RFQ packet for details.

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) will hold the Accessible Ohio (AO) Conference and Expo on August 13, 2026, at The Ohio State University’s Fawcett Center in Columbus, OH. To ensure the event is accessible and inclusive for Ohioans with disabilities, OOD will provide CART (Communication Access Real-Time Transcription) captioning as a key accommodation, supporting communication access in breakout sessions and keynote speech

Contractor shall establish an hourly rate for each in-person and/or remote CART captioner for up to twenty-one (21) hours as well as a flat rate for a ll administrative, coordination and management aspects.  Please see RFQ document for details.

A) OOD shall base the award on lowest cost.

B) OOD will also base the award on the respondent that is responsive, responsible, and able to complete the work described in the summary.

C) OOD’s preference is to award to a Contractor providing in-person CART captioning services.

D) A formal quote must be attached.

Mailed, emailed, or faxed responses will NOT be accepted.

Optional Question and Answer Session
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities  (OOD) will be hosting an OPTIONAL question and answer session to give Respondents an opportunitity to discuss the requirements of the solicitation. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM via Microsoft TEAMS. Questions and answers will be posted in OhioBuys after the question and answer session for Contractors who were unable to attend. Please refer to the attached RFQ for further details.
