REQUEST FOR BIDS
The City of Bonner Springs requests bids from qualified contractors to provide the following
services:
2026 Annual Mowing Services

I. Purpose.
The City of Bonner Springs seeks bids from qualified mowing contractors to perform mowing
and trimming services for the Public Works Department. Requirements for bid are contractors'
current 2026 labor and mileage rates.
II. Estimated Time Table For Selection / Implementation.
Tuesday, March 19, 2026, Bid Notice Published on City Web Site and sent
to Drexel Technology Plan House.
Thursday, April 2, 2026 Bids are due at City Hall at 3:00 PM

III. Scope of Services
The City of Bonner Springs seeks bids from qualified mowing contractors to perform
mowing and trimming services at multiple locations. Attached you will find an outlined
area for each location to be mowed and trimmed. Please include on the bid sheet a price
to mow all locations each time. The total price should include the rate to service all
properties and any additional expenses for all sites to be mowed one time. Staff will
schedule the number of cuts based on the price of each site, weather, and budget.
The City reserves the right to remove properties from the contract or have separate
contracts on properties as determined necessary.
IV. Permit/License and Insurance/Bond Requirements
a) Occupational License: The successful contractor must have a City of Bonner Springs
Occupational License to perform work within the City. Occupational Licenses can be
obtained from the City Clerk's office.
b) Insurance: The successful Contractor shall provide a certificate of insurance, which
includes the City of Bonner Springs as an additional insured, to the City Clerk's Office.
General Liability for each occurrence shall be $500,000 per occurrence/$1,000,000
aggregate and Workers' Compensation limits shall be $500,000.

Services".
Bids must be received no later than Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM
Bids received after Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM will not be considered.

VI. Award Criteria.
All bids received by this request will be evaluated based on criteria established by the
City which may include but not be limited to price, quality, experience of the contractor,
responsiveness of the contractor, adaptability of the particular materials and equipment
for the specific intended use and conformity to the specifications. The City reserves the
right to reject any and/or all bids for any reason, whether or not the bid is lowest, and to
waive any irregularities or technicalities in any bid.
The City reserves the right to select the work in the bid proposal based on available
budget authority. The City further reserves the right to increase or decrease job site
locations up to twenty-five (25) percent based on unit prices in the bid.
The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the contractor whose bid is determined to be
in the best interests of the City. Contractor reference may be required.
VII. Waiver.
By the submission of a bid in response to this request, the bidder hereby expressly waives
the right to bring, file, or enforce all claims or causes of action, legal or equitable, against
the City, its officers, agents, or employees that pertain or relate to the City's bid process,
to include but not limited to the notice, letting, review and award stages, processes, and
procedures. This waiver shall be effective as of the bidder's submission of its bid form
and shall be irrevocable by the bidder, its successors, and assigns. If the bidder takes any
action in contradiction of this waiver, then the City shall be awarded all costs associated
with its defense of such actions including but not limited to reasonable attorney fees,
filing fees, and other legal costs, and the bidder shall forfeit its bid bond to City.

outlined in the Notice, Information to Bidders, and Bid Form.
The undersigned bidder is familiar with the nature and extent of the work to be completed; material and work specifications;
sites; locality; and all local conditions, laws, and regulations that in any manner may affect the cost, progress, performance, or
furnishing of the required work.
The selection of the successful contractor and issuance of a purchase order shall serve as a binding contract for compliance with
the requirements in this bid package.
