NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE:
IAW FAR 5.101 this notice is to advise the public that The Department of Veterans Affairs RPO-E R&D, intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price Contract IAW RFO 6.103-3 (Industrial mobilization; engineering, developmental, or research capability; or expert services) to University of Washington for services to develop sequences, platforms and analysis tools needed to improve MRI research and complete the goals defined by the approved merit grant, CSDR 1I01CX003005-01 Development of AI assisted intra- and extra-cranial artery vessel wall imaging and analysis techniques for characterization of high-risk cerebral vascular atherosclerosis
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS or QUOTATIONS.
Responsible sources may identify their interest by submitting capability information that clearly demonstrates the capability to perform the required work IAW the SOW (attached).
Capability information is required by 10:00am (EST) February 23, 2026 to establish the ability of the source to meet this requirement.
A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification.
All inquiries and submittals must be sent via email to Renee Kale, Contracting Officer renee.kale@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
