This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued.

This solicitation is issued as an RFQ. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2024-05 (effective 05/22/2024).

This solicitation is set-aside for Small Businesses

The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 332992, Ammunition, small arms (i.e., Handgun - 9 mm., Long gun - 223 Rem/5.56mm), manufacturing. SBA small business size standard of 1,300 employees. The FSC/PSC is 1305.

Requirement

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Services Network 23 (VISN 23), VA Midwest Healthcare Network, 2805 Dodd Road, Suite 250, Eagan, MN 55121 has a requirement for the procurement of small arms ammunition. The ammunition will be used to support training and recertification of Department of Veteran Affairs, VISN 23 Police Officers in the use of firearms.

All VA police officers receive firearm training and are required to certify and recertify. This permits consistency in training and tactics throughout the Department. The potential contractor must be able to supply all the items listed on the Schedule of Supplies and Statement of Work.

The Government contemplates award of IDIQ contract with 1 Ordering period.

This requirement is Brand-Name Only.
