RESPONSE EXTENSION TO AUGUST 20,2025
Question 1
For the require #7, The mirror head shall have dimensions of 250 mm x 100 mm x 280 mm (width x depth x height) or less to be accommodated in an anticipated scanning confocal microscopy setup. Is the mirror dimensions or total dimensions of the FSM?
NIST Response
This is the total dimension of the FSM (mirror + steering mechanism, controller excluded).
Question 2
If #7 is total dimensions of the FSM, then what is the actual mirror size that needs to be attached to the FSM?
NIST Response
The mirror itself needs to be at least 1 inch in diameter.
As described in the attached Combined Synopsis Solicitation, Statement of Work and Deviations to FAR 52.212-3 and 52.212-5.
