NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) Crew and Thermal Systems Division’s Space Suit and Crew Survival Systems Branch is requesting the development of an injection mold, build of a mold, and delivery of a prototype for an injection molded pressure bubble for future spacesuit designs. The development will be based on the design of the Exploration Extravehicular Mobility Unit (xEMU) spacesuit which is the government reference design. The intent of this procurement is to execute initial research and development of manufacturing the xEMU pressure bubble using an injection molded system. The objective of this contract is to execute development and manufacturing of the xEMU pressure bubble using an injection molded system. Please review the attached SOW for further information. NASA is particularly intersted in any and all small businesses that may be capable of meeting this requirement, but all interested parties are encouraged to submit a response to this notice. A response shall include:
1. A capabilities statement indicating your company's ability to meet this requirement that includes reference material indicating your ability to meet the information stated in the SOW.
2. If able within the applicable time constraints, a very high-level ROM (ballpark is fine) (not providing a ROM will not exclude you from the capabilities assessment).
3. Any past performance references where your company has produced something similar.
All interested parties are directed to provide the requested information to the specified CO and CS found further within this advertisement by the closing date and time. While late submissions may be considered, the CO will make a determination regarding capabilities based on the information presented within the time allowed.
