Overview



Summary

This Request for Proposals (RFP) seeks providers to conduct substance use prevention, tobacco prevention, and program evaluation services; as outlined in more detail in the Scope of Work. Tobacco prevention program funding is available for work to be conducted throughout San Mateo County. Alcohol and other drug prevention efforts may be conducted throughout San Mateo County or in specific communities as appropriate. Evaluation services will be for both the Tobacco Prevention Program and the AOD Prevention Program. Services are anticipated to begin in fiscal year 2026-27 and are subject to negotiation of a final agreement.



Background

San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services provides a continuum of services for children, youth, families, adults and older adults for the prevention, early intervention and treatment of serious mental illness and/or substance use conditions. We are committed to supporting treatment of the whole person to achieve wellness and recovery, and promoting the physical and behavioral health of individuals, families and communities we serve.
