NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS REGARDING A REQUEST FOR BIDS


Bids to be submitted by 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, January 28, 2026


Sealed bids will be received by the CITY OF PORTLAND at their offices at 100 S.

Russell St, Portland, TN 37148, until 2:30 PM CST, Wednesday, January 28 and opened

publicly at 100 S Russell St, Portland, TN 37148 at that hour. The reading of the bids will begin

at 2:31 PM CST.



Summary/Background Information


This request includes:

a) Removal of current roofing materials on a 100’X 80’ 8,000 sq ft. (currently has 2 roofs)

b) Installation of 24-gauge snap lock roof system

c) Installation of new 4” insulation

d) Installation of ridge cap

e) Installation of rake trim and gutter trim

f) Installation of 50 ft gutter to match existing gutter

g) Installation of 3 downspouts

h) Installation of 150’ roof to wall trim



All bidders will be responsible for any necessary site preparation. The contractor will be

responsible for hauling of all material. The winning bidder must have a State of Tennessee

commercial license and will be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and have all

necessary inspections. All City of Portland levied permit fees will be waived by the City of

Portland.

The City of Portland hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any

contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be

afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation, and will not be discriminated

Plans are not required for this project


This contractor will be responsible for removing and hauling off all debris. The City of

Portland will not provide any dumpsters or disposal sites.

Roof evaluation must be scheduled
