Airport Hangar Floor Resurfacing

Beaufort County Capital Projects is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for the resurfacing of approximately 7,500 square feet of aircraft hangar and shop flooring. The project consists of mechanical surface preparation and installing a high-performance, multi-layer resinous flooring system designed to withstand aircraft operations, heavy loads, and exposure to aviation-related chemicals. The finished floor will provide enhanced slip resistance tailored to aircraft movement and maintenance work areas, ensuring safety and long-term durability.

This procurement will be conducted as a Request for Proposals (RFP). Selection will be based on a combination of qualifications, experience, technical approach, warranty and cost.

The Mosquito Control Aircraft Hangar is located at the Lady's Island Executive Airport at 20 Airport Circle, Lady's Island, SC. The hangar currently occupies a helicopter, a fixed wing Aircraft and supplies used for aerial spraying. The aircraft will be moved by staff to the tarmac during installation. Tools and equipment can be moved to allow for the hangar surface to be completed in phases if needed. There needs to be minimal down time for operations to continue on a daily basis.
