Airport Consulting Engineering Services

The Gilmer County Board of Commissioners requests a "STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS" from qualified firms to engage the services of a consultant for professional engineering, architectural, construction, planning, design, and construction administration services in connection with the Airport Capital Improvement Plan at the Gilmer County Airport. The selected consultant would be expected to participate in the projects listed in the CIP. Some of the major anticipated projects are Runway Safety Area Improvements, Land Acquisition, DBE Plan Updates, Runway Extension and Taxiway Turnaround, Terminal Area Expansion, Partial Parallel Taxiway, Taxiway and Hangar Development, and Perimeter Fencing.

Notices of Requests for Statements of Qualifications will only be provided to qualified consulting firms that are currently GDOT approved in Area Classes No. 1.08, Airport Master Planning, 2.09 Aviation Design, 8.02 Airport Construction Administration & Observation and 2.09b Airport Design ¿ Electrical (effective 1/1/2025). The required format and details for submitting the Statements of Qualifications may be obtained by phone request to Mr. Jim Smith, Airport Manager, at (706) 889-2108. This is NOT a request for a priced proposal. Statements must be sealed, delivered via mail or in person, and marked "AIRPORT CONSULTING ENGINEERING SERVICES" on the outside of the envelope. STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE GILMER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, 822 INSUSTRIAL BLVD., SUITE 200, ELLIJAY, GEORGIA 30540, NO LATER THAN 2:00 P.M. LOCAL TIME ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2025.
