Description

Repair the Aircraft Fire Trainer, the requirements below.



1. General: This is a modification to the Aircraft Fire Trainer Facility contract to repair those items to get the Aircraft Fire Trainer Facility and the Structural Fire Training Facility repaired. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the requirement herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government.



1.1 Scope: Unless otherwise identified herein, the contractor shall provide all management, labor, equipment, transportation, tools, materials and other items necessary to repair the Aircraft Fire Trainer Facility and the Structural Fire Training Facility as defined in this Statement of Need.



1.2 Specific Tasks.



1.2.1. Building 994-Aircraft Fire Trainer Facility



1.2.1.1. Repair 100 linear feet of bar grating and welding plate bridge on the rescue and off rescue side of the fuselage.



1.2.1.2. Repair the lower weir drain valve and install a 20’ French drain.



1.2.1.3. Repair the cracked steel plate through welding at the passenger training point.



1.2.1.4. Remove and replace the shipboard ladder to the control tower access and replace with galvanized stair assembly from the sidewalk to the tower.



1.2.1.5. Repair cracked inboard and outbound engine spires.



1.3. Building 993-Structural Fire Training Facility



1.3.1. Repair and replace broken/cracked Maranite burn cell liner in burn cell 1 and 2.



1.3.2. Rehabilitate the floors on the roof, 3rd and 2nd levels. Clean floors, add etcher paint prep products, then coat floor with 2 coats of antioxidation paint with primer to seal metal floors.



1.3.3. Install fall protection chain in both the attic windows to prevent firefighter injury.



1.3.4. Repair the roof opening at repelling points with a stainless chain and locking carabiners.



2.0 Delivery: The vehicle is to be shipped to the Fire Department, 14 CES/CEF, 1024 Independence Ave, Blvd, building 998, Columbus AFB, MS 39710.



3.0 Security Requirements: Contractor must comply with the security requirements identified in AFFARS 5352.242-9000, Contractor Access to Air Force Installations and the Local Base Entry Procedures identified in the contract clauses.
