Description
Project ID: 426030-BED
Title: AIM Unit
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 10/3/2025
Due Date: 11/26/2025
The AIM Unit will provide a place for voluntary intoxicated individuals to go for care, other than a hospital, working within available resources to meet the needs of individuals struggling with substance use, and the larger community.
Currently, DCDHS purchases short-term medical monitoring services for individuals who are taken into protective custody due to being incapacitated by alcohol (the “Detox” program). We are shifting our service delivery to purchase services for voluntary participants who are intoxicated (the “AIM Unit”). This new model will fill a current gap (a place for voluntary intoxicated individuals to go for care, other than a hospital) and work within available resources to meet the needs of individuals struggling with substance use, and the larger community.
The site visit is optional but highly encouraged for any vendor considering use of the County-owned facility. Prospective vendors interested in participating in the site visit must register by e-mailing obrien.katie@danecounty.gov with your agency name and the names and position titles of those who will be attending, no later than October 14, 2025, 11:59pm.
