Overview
Summary

Through this Request for Qualifications, the City of St. Petersburg is seeking qualified developers to construct affordable single-family or multi-family homes on city-owned lots. This program would serve residents at or below 120% Area Median Income (AMI).

Background

The Affordable Lot Disposition Program was created in 2018 in order to utilize vacant city-owned land for affordable housing. The program allows for the City to lease the vacant lots under a Lease and Development Agreement "Lease" to approved developers for the construction and sale of an affordable housing unit for those making less than 120% of the Area Median Income. The program has resulted in the successful construction of over thirty affordable homes, the majority of which reside in the South St. Petersburg Community Redevelopment Area (CRA).
