Pennoyer School District 79, Norridge, IL 60706 will receive sealed bids for:
2026 ADDITION AND REMODELING
PENNOYER SCHOOL DISTRICT 79
AT PENNOYER SCHOOL -
PROJECT # 2024.123

The project involves work at Pennoyer School. The work in general includes, but is not limited to,
sitework, new building addition, and interior remodeling for the administration office, with
removal, replacement, or new installation of casework, walls, doors, windows, finishes, lighting,
mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment/fixtures. Work is to be awarded as a single
contract.
The Bid Opening will be on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 3:00 pm at Pennoyer School, 5200 N.
Cumberland Road, Norridge, IL 60706. At this time the Bids will be publicly opened and read. A
Bid Security of 10% of the Bid is required with the proposal. The Contractor must pay the
Prevailing Wage Rates for all work per Illinois Law.
There will be a Pre-Bid Meeting held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 3:00 pm commencing at the
Main Office at Pennoyer School to provide additional information about the project, answer
questions and tour the building. Attendance is not required, but all prospective bidders are
encouraged to attend.
It is the policy of the District to provide equal opportunity to all qualified businesses in the
awarding of contracts and accordingly promotes the utilization of diversified businesses to the
maximum extent feasible in any contract issued against the solicitation to bid.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bidding
procedure, or accept Bid(s) that, in its opinion, will serve the best interest of the District. Any such
decision shall be considered final. The Owner reserves the right to set aside a Bid from a
Contractor who, in the Owner's opinion, does not exhibit past experience equal to the size and
scope of this project.
The bidder shall have a written sexual harassment policy in place in full compliance with Section
2-105 of the Illinois Human Rights Act.
Copies of the Bid Documents, including plans and specifications, may be obtained by Pre-
Qualified Bidders, beginning day, May 27, 2026, after 3:00 pm from:
