NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS REGARDING A REQUEST FOR BIDS
Bids to be submitted by 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, October 22, 2025
Sealed bids will be received by the CITY OF PORTLAND at their offices at 100 S.
Russell St, Portland, TN 37148, until 2:30 PM CST, Wednesday, October 22, 2025, and opened
publicly at 100 S Russell St, Portland, TN 37148 at that hour. The reading of the bids will begin
at 2:31 PM CST. This bid document is for Commercially Licensed Contractors
Summary and Bidding Requirements
The City of Portland requests a licensed contractor to install and or repair concrete sidewalks throughout the City. All bids shall include the cost of excavation, backfilling, disposal of old sidewalk, and yard repair when necessary. Concrete shall be bid on at a minimum of 3,000 psi. All concrete is to contain expansion joints every twenty – five (25) linear feet.
All prices are to be bid per square foot.
This price will also include driveway aprons and concrete pads.
The winning bidder must have a State of Tennessee commercial license and will be responsible for obtaining all necessary TN One Calls and have all necessary inspections conducted by City Staff prior to final approval. All final work shall meet ADA standards.
Contract Term
The Contract is for Two (2) Years with One (1) renewal option after year two (2) with a maximum increase of 2.5% in the renewal year.
The City of Portland hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any
contract entered pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be
