RECEIPT OF BIDS: Separate sealed bids for the construction of the above referenced project will
be received by the City of Anderson at City Hall, attention Andrew Strickland located at 401 South
Main Street, Anderson, SC 29625, until Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 2:00 pm. The envelope
should be clearly labeled with the project information as well as the text "SEALED BID" in a
clearly legible position.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project consists of improvements to one (1) block of Church
Street and Heritage Plaza that shall include but not be limited to demolition (brick crosswalks,
granite curb, concrete curb, sidewalks, asphalt, etc.) the installation of new concrete crosswalk,
concrete sidewalks, brick pavers, asphalt paving, concrete curb, granite curb, storm drainage inlets
and piping, electrical conduit, low voltage lighting, and tree grates. The project scope consists of
furnishing all materials, equipment, labor, and means necessary to complete the project as per plans
and specifications.
PRE-BID MEETING: A Mandatory Pre-bid meeting will be held On-Site at Heritage Plaza, 115
E. Church Street, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 2:00 pm. The purpose of such meeting will be to
review this project and to answer any questions regarding the project. Any Contractor that does not
attend the pre-bid will be disqualified.

The preference is that questions be submitted by email. The answers to all questions asked will be
shared with all participants in the Bid process.
