Advertisement for Bids: C1625 – Works Progress Administration (“WPA”) Street Reconstruction (W. 92nd St., W. 106th St., W. 107th St. and W. 114th St.)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Public Building Commission of Chicago (PBC) has invited all Contractors to bid on PBC Contract C1625, Works Progress Administration (“WPA”) Street Reconstruction (W. 92nd St., W. 106th St., W. 107th St., W. 114th St.).

The WPA Street Reconstruction (W. 92nd St., W. 106th St., W. 107th St., W. 114th St.) Project is located at:

• W. 92 ^nd St. – West 92 ^nd Street from South Leavitt Street to South Hamilton Avenue Chicago, Illinois
• W. 106th St. – West 106th Street from South Christiana Avenue to South Kedzie Avenue Chicago, IL
• W. 107 ^th St. – West 107 ^th Street from South Spaulding Avenue to South Kedzie Avenue Chicago, IL
• W. 114th St. – West 114 ^th Street from South Rockwell Street to South Western Avenue Chicago, IL

The project consists of a Works Progress Administration (“WPA”) street reconstruction Project, including: full-depth pavement reconstruction of the four (4) locations indicated above. Work includes but is not limited to excavation, portland cement concrete base course, hot-mix asphalt surface course, sewer main, water main and drainage structures, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalks, tactile/detectable warning surface system for curb ramps, concrete driveways and alleys, roadway lighting, thermoplastic pavement marking, signs, topsoil, sodding, tree removal and planting.

Contractor will be required to prepare a Phasing and Logistics Plan within thirty (30) days of issuance of the Notice to Proceed (‘NTP’) for review and approval by CDOT and PBC, prior to the mobilization and commencement of any Work. The Contractor shall also be responsible for providing critical submittals, including electrical lighting (poles and luminaires), sewer and water main, and concrete mix design, as determined by the PBC, within thirty (30) days of issuance of the NTP.
