Advertisement for bid for the Perimeter Fence Replacement Project

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID

HUNTSVILLE-MADISON COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY

The Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority (“Owner”) is requesting separate sealed proposals for the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and services for the PERIMETER FENCE REPLACEMENT PROJECT – PHASE 3 (the “Project”) at Huntsville International Airport (the “Airport”), located in Huntsville, Alabama.  Bids will be received by Owner at the Engineering and Facilities Building at the Airport, 104 Facility Way, Huntsville, Alabama 35824 (the “E&F Building”), until Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 2 p.m., at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Second Floor Conference Room of the E&F Building.  All bids must be sealed and marked in the lower left-hand corner “Sealed Bid – PERIMETER FENCE REPLACEMENT PROJECT – PHASE 3.”  Bidder must be an Alabama General Contractor licensed by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors for Alabama pursuant to Alabama Code Section 34-8-1, et seq.  Only bids of such Contractors who are licensed prior to the date of bid opening will be considered.  Bidder must place his/her current license number on the outside of his/her sealed bid or otherwise Bidder’s bid shall be rejected.  Any bid received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be returned to the bidder unopened.  Pre-qualification of bidders is not required.

Electronic copies of the Plans and Specifications and the complete Request for Proposals may be obtained at no cost by emailing Jennifer Farineau with Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC, at the following email address: jennifer.farineau@gmcnetwork.com .  All questions related to the Request for Proposals and other Contract Documents shall be directed to Jennifer Farineau in writing at the aforementioned email address.

The Project will consist of the replacement of 2,380 linear feet of fencing and installation of drainage ditch and spillway along Taxiway E south of Taxiway L.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total contract amount, as shown on the schedule of prices, which shall be made payable to Owner and shall be subject to the conditions set forth in the bid documents.  A performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a labor and material payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required.

Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, technicalities or irregularities in the bids received, to reject any or all bids, and to enter into negotiations with the lowest responsive bidder.  No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of bid opening.
