Advanced Metering Infrastructure

The City of LaFayette, Georgia (¿the City¿), hereby requests qualifications and pricing from companies that are experienced in and capable of implementing a system-wide conversion to an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (¿AMI¿) system (¿System¿ or ¿AMI System¿) of the City¿s residential and commercial electric meters. The City currently provides electrical service to approximately four thousand five hundred (4500) residential and commercial customers. The project will involve replacing existing meters with AMI meters. The intent is to have a system that eliminates the need for manual meter reading for monthly billing and provides a significant improvement in the quality and quantity of meter readings and customer information available to the City for trend analysis, monthly billing, and rate structuring.
