ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES – TREE GRANT PROGRAM

The City of Batavia is seeking proposals from qualified consultants or firms to provide administrative, coordination, and grant management services for a two-year tree planting and maintenance program funded under NYS DEC Contract #DEC01-C02887GM-3350000. Proposals will be received by the Department of Public Works in City Hall, at One Batavia City Centre, Batavia, New York on or before 10:00am local time, September 19, 2025, at which time they will be opened and read aloud in the City Council Chambers. Bid envelopes shall be marked on the outside “Administrative Services – Tree Grant Program, RFP #2025-7.”

The selected consultant will coordinate with the City’s Department of Public Works (DPW), contracted tree service provider, DEC-assigned arborist, and community stakeholders to ensure all planting, maintenance, reporting, reimbursement requests, and compliance requirements are met.

The consultant will lead the creation of the City’s Tree Board, including meeting coordination, advertising, and community engagement. Public outreach and media coordination, including social media management and press release preparation, will be included in this role to ensure residents are informed and engaged.
