4.0 DESCRIPTION

A. Scope: The project includes renovation of the men’s and women’s restrooms on the first floor of the Administration Building. The work includes demolition, metal stud and tile backer board and gypsum board partitions, stile and rail doors and hollow metal frames, ceramic floor and wall tile, painting, toilet partitions, solid surface countertops, and related plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. Northwest has vacated the building for an HVAC project that is currently underway.

B. MBE/WBE/SDVE Goals: MBE 10%, WBE 10% & SDVE 3%

Note: Only MBE/WBE firms certified by a State of Missouri public entity, and SDVE(s) meeting the requirements of Section 34.074, RSMo, and 1 CSR 30-5.010, as of the date of bid opening, can be used to satisfy the MBE/WBE/SDVE participation goals for this Project.

8.0 GENERAL INFORMATION

A. Northwest reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities in bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days subsequent to the specified bid opening time. The contractor shall pay not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages for work of a similar character in the locality in which the work is performed, as determined by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations and as set out in the detailed plans and specifications.
