TO APPLICANTS ON THE ABOVE REFERENCED PROJECT: PLEASE NOTE CONTENTS HEREIN AND INCLUDE WITH YOUR BID SUBMISSION.
NOTICE
It will be required that this addendum be signed in acknowledgment of receipt and that it be included with your Bid when same is submitted to Laurinda Micheels, Government Operations Consultant II, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Blvd. MS520, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-3000. Failure to do so may be grounds for rejection of the Bid.

The Following statements supersede & supplement the corresponding items in the specifications & drawings:
1. Question: On page 2 of 3 of the RFSOQ under Preliminary Scoring, it states that we must include the Revised Current Contractor’s Experience Questionnaire and Financial Information—Form Number DMS-CM01 dated 7/2016 (Attachment A) with our response. The Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) currently provides a fillable version of this form revised in 8/2024. Can you please confirm whether we may use the most recent version in place of the 7/2016 form referenced in the RFSOQ?
Answer: You may not use the fillable form.
2. Question: Please provide the current status of the construction drawings.
Answer: Construction Documents are at 90% with expected delivery of Final CDs June 10, 2025.
3. Question: Will the park remain fully operational during construction? If so, please specify which areas of the park are expected to remain accessible to the public and any associated operational requirements or restrictions.
Answer: Yes, the Park will remain open. This includes existing exhibits building and concessionaire building with any associated operations.
4. Question: Is the project intended to be completed in phases? If yes, please provide a detailed phasing plan or outline the expected sequencing of work.
Answer: The Construction Management (CM) firm will determine the sequencing plan.
5. Question: Please clarify the scope of road work included in the project. Specifically, provide details regarding any road reconfiguration, widening, resurfacing, or new roadway construction anticipated.
Answer: The new roadway is to be installed, accessing East side of Park and parking lot reconfiguration for Visitor Center/beach area and parking reconfigured by boat ramp, and including resurfacing.
6. Question: Will the access road to Far Beach and the picnic pavilions remain open throughout the construction period? If partial closures are expected, please provide scheduling or alternate access requirements.
Answer: Yes, it will remain open. Scope includes installing a temporary access road to the Far East Beach.
7. Question: What is the projected start date for construction?
Answer: Estimated January 2, 2026
8. Question: What is the estimated duration for construction?
Answer: 18 months
9. Question: Will the project pursue LEED or FGBC (Florida Green Building Coalition) certification? If so, please specify the targeted certification level.
Answer: No, LEED or FGBC will not be pursued.
10. Question: Will the demolition of the existing facilities be part of the scope of work associated with this RFP?
Answer: Demolition of the existing visitor center will be included within the scope of work. Asbestos testing and abatement, if necessary, will be the responsibility of the CM once all living organisms are relocated to the new Visitors Center.
In all other respects, the contract documents of which this is an Addendum, and attachments relative thereto, shall remain in full force and effect.
