ADDENDUM #1 TOWNSHIP OF JEFFERSON, MORRIS COUNTY, NEW JERSEY

REBID SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS COLLECTION SERVICE

CONTRACT GAR-25-1

BID OPENING DATE – TUESDAY, DECEMBER 30, 2025, AT 11:00AM

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids for REBID SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS COLLECTION SERVICE for the Township of Jefferson, Morris County, New Jersey will include this ADDENDUM #1.

This Addendum shall become part of the original specifications and attached thereto.

This addendum is issued to clarify, correct or supplement the Documents as originally issued regarding specifications, and will become a part of the bid specifications. Receipt of the Addenda shall be acknowledged by Bidders in an Acknowledgement of Receipt of Addendum. Failure to acknowledge this Addendum may be cause for rejection of bid.

1. The Bid opening date is changed from December 30, 2025 to January 14, 2026, at 11:00 am, at the Council Chambers at the Jefferson Township Municipal Building, 1033 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, Morris County, New Jersey.

2. Section 6.7 Consent of Surety The existing language in the first paragraph of Section 6.7 is replaced with the following:

Bidder shall submit with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for a performance bond as required by Section 4.4 of the Instruction to Bidders from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the OWNER stating that it will provide said bidder with a Performance Bond that fully complies with the Performance Bond requirements in Section 4.4 of the Instruction to Bidders.  This certificate shall be obtained in order to confirm that the bidder to whom the contract is awarded, will furnish Performance Bonds from an acceptable surety company on behalf of said bidder, any or all subcontractors or by each respective subcontractor or by any or combination thereof which results in performance security equal to the total amount of the contract, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40: 11-22.

Addendum #1 will be available at the Township Clerk’s office, 1033 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849, from 8:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Friday. All vendors who obtained the bid specifications prior to this date of notice will be provided with this Addendum #1 as required by law.
