Addendum Number 2
Dear Planholder:
The specifications and plans for 26007 North Ohio Overpass Painting Project in the City of
Salina, Kansas, dated October 2026, are hereby amended in the following particulars only; all
other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
1) The Request for Bids is hereby replaced with the attached Request for Bids. The bid date
has been changed to October 29, 2026 to allow time for Addendum 3 to be issued.
This addendum is hereby a part of the contract documents to the same extent as though
contained in the original documents and all itemized listings thereof. Provisions in this
document supersede similar and/or conflicting provisions in the original bid package.

REQUEST FOR BIDS
The City of Salina, Kansas is currently accepting sealed bids for the following project, at
the office of the City Clerk, City-County Building 300 West Ash, Room 206 Salina, Kansas, until
2:00 p.m. (Central), Thursday, October 29, 2026, at which time the bids will be opened publicly
and read aloud.
NORTH OHIO OVERPASS PAINTING
PROJECT NO. 26007
The project consists of surface preparation and painting of the following improvements on and/or
adjacent to the 531-foot-long North Ohio Street Bridge over the K&O Railroad and the Union
Pacific Railroad (UPRR):
* Roadway fence - on the bridge
* Pedestrian fence and integrated lights - on the bridge
* Concrete barrier - on the bridge
* 24 street light poles, including multiple color applications - 6 poles on the bridge
* 46 pedestrian light poles, including multiple color applications - 0 poles on the bridge
* 5 bollard lights - 0 on the bridge
* Railroad rail on concrete barrier - on the bridge
The drawings, specifications and other contract documents are the property of the City of Salina,
Kansas, and are available for public inspection at the office of the City Engineer, City-County
Building 300 West Ash, Room 205, Salina, Kansas. Please contact the Department of Public
Works/Engineering at 785-309-5725 with any questions in regard to the project. The documents
may be purchased from the office of the City Engineer or at www.salina-ks.gov/bids through the
QuestCDN Link upon payment of $22.00, which is non-refundable. The successful bidder will be
furnished three complete sets of plans and specifications. Additional sets required will be furnished
at the current cost.
A Prebid conference will be held as described in the Instructions to Bidders.
Bidders shall be prequalified through KDOT for work specified under Work Type Q -
Painting Structural Steel. The City of Salina, Kansas, reserves the right to reject any or all
proposals and to waive any irregularities therein.
