Questions & Answers:
The City of Austell mentioned it would provide signs for road closures. So, will we be
able to close the road during work hours and reopen it to the public when work isn't
happening?
The City will provide the signs for road closures. Roads can be closed. Any road
closure will need to be coordinated with the Public Works Department.
Will the new handicap parking spots need signs in front of spaces? Also, will
handicap spots have direct ADA access directly to the park from the parking spot or
will users need to use one of the nearby ADA ramps?
Yes, new handicapped parking spots will need signs in front of the parking space.
All ADA parking spaces are to be constructed and marked per the county and state
ADA requirements and all new parking spaces shall have direct parking access.
Do speed tables need a row of blocks between the ramp and the table on both
sides? All speed tables will need to be approved by the Public Works Department,
prior to installation and must meet all GDOT requirements.
