ADDENDUM #1

Plainfield Park District

2026 Concrete Projects: Various Sites Bid # 2057

This addendum becomes part of and modifies, amends, and clarifies Project Manual for the above-mentioned Bid. All

provisions and requirements of the Project Manual shall remain in effect except as specifically changed in this addendum.

Below is the list of revised items in Addendum #1 (items to follow):

1. CLARIFICATION: In the Bid specifications, Section 02930, the specs note the following:

“The contractor shall cut grass starting when the grass becomes 3-inches high, and once

a week thereafter. Included in the cutting of grass shall be the cutting and trimming

required around trees, baseball backstops, drainage structures, curbs and all areas that

grass abuts, as required or directed by the landscape architect. The contractor shall

maintain a height of not less than 2-inches. The contractor shall be responsible for at

least three cuttings prior to final inspection.”

The typical establishment period does not require mowing prior to acceptance of turf from seed. The mowing

requirement has very rarely been enforced, and would typically only be required if establishment was taking much

longer than usual.

2. CLARIFICATION: Per the plans and specifications, proper disposal and removal of all excess soils will be the

responsibility of the contractor, including any testing or permitting. All excess soil shall be hauled off site.

Receipt of this addendum shall be acknowledged in the Bid Form and by signing below and including a copy of this

sheet with your bid submission.
