The following statements supersede & supplement the corresponding items in the specifications & drawings:

Sheet C-501 has been added to the plans set and are hereby incorporated into the bid package and supersede those originally posted with the bid documents. The revised bid package can be found at: (https://publicfiles.dep.state.fl.us/DRP/BDC/BDC%20Public%20Files%20FY24-25/BDC55-24-25_Suwannee_River_-_Water_and_Wastewater_Upgrades/).  Please contact the Bureau of Design and Construction’s Contracts Section at Logan.LeeMarple@FloridaDEP.gov with any questions.

1. Question: Since the campground bath house and camp sites are combined in one

combined system, will the washing machine at the bath house continue to be

used? 750-GPD flow rate from this feature alone.

Answer: It is our understanding that the washing machine is equipped with its own grey water septic system.

2. Question: The existing pump vault lift station is a 48” diameter vault; is this vault a legal pump vault for continued use?

Answer: The existing pump vault lift station is not part of this project.

3. Question: A campground bath house is normally sized at 50-GPD / campsite as it has toilets and showers; why is this flow not included in the total flow calculations? 2700-GPD + 1800-GPD + 750-GPD = 5250-GPD

Answer: The appropriate flow determined by the design engineers by coordinating with the County health department was 2,700 GPD. The campground bathhouse flow was accounted for within the campsite flow of 75 GPD, each. The washing machine is not included within the flow calculations, please refer to response to question #1.

4. Question: Can the power for the E-ONE pump station come from the volunteer camp area rather than routed under the gas pipeline?

Answer: No, please refer to details provided by the electrical engineer on sheet E102. Additional details for the gas line crossing are shown in the Drawings on sheet C306.

5. Question: From our site investigation, the 3200-gallon and 3300-gallon septic tanks on the campground septic system are not in series connected to the 4’ diameter wet well. Is the 3300-gallon septic tank serving the bath house laundry sewage flow and the 3200-gallon septic tank serving the campground site flow?            Back calculating the flow and septic tank size for each feature.

  1. Loop: 31 camp sites x 75 = 2325-GPD; 3200-gallon Septic Tank
  2. Bath House: 31 sites x 50-GPD + 750 washing machine = 2300- GPD; 3200 Gallon Septic Tank

Answer: From what information we’ve gathered, the 3,300-gallon tank was installed to accommodate the cumulative volume requirements for a pump tank, in which they are both hydraulically connected at the bottom. The 3,200-gallon tank serves as the primary septic tank. Please find an image below provided for clarity. Although, please keep in mind, this area is not part of the scope of this project.

6. Question: Can the power for the E-one pump station cross the gas pipeline in the same location as the pump transmission piping crossing?

Answer: No, please refer to details provided by electrical engineer on sheet E102. Additional details for the gas line crossing are shown in the Drawings on sheet C306.

7. Question: On the west day use new septic tank & pump tank, can we use plastic risers & lids or as shown concrete risers & cast-iron lids?

Answer: Yes, plastic risers and lids are acceptable for use on the west day-use pavilion since plastic risers and lids are called out on the adjacent detail shown on Sheet C501 in the Drawings -- please find addendum drawing for sheet C501.

8. Question: Does the west day use restroom pump tank have two (2) pumps with a duplexing control Panel?

Answer: No, the west day use restroom pump tank will be equipped with a single pump, with a post mounted audible/visual alarm panel, that will utilize the manufacturer provided float switch.

In all other respects, the contract documents of which this is an Addendum, and attachments relative thereto, shall remain in full force and effect.
