TO BIDDERS AND PLAN HOLDERS ON THE ABOVE REFERENCED PROJECT: PLEASE NOTE CONTENTS HEREIN AND INCLUDE, SIGNED, WITH YOUR BID SUBMISSION.
NOTICEIt will be required that this addendum be signed in acknowledgment of receipt and that it be included with your Bid when same is submitted to Laurinda Micheels, Contracts Specialist, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Blvd., MS #520, Tallahassee, Florida, 32399-3000. Failure to do so may be grounds for rejection of the Bid.

BID SUBMITTAL DUE DATE: No later than 3:30 PM (ET), Thursday, December 12, 2024, to the below address: Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Blvd., MS #520, Tallahassee, Florida, 32399-3000, Attention: Laurinda Micheels, Contracts Specialist, Bureau of Design and Construction, (850) 245-2781. (For hand delivery: Carr Building, Welcome Desk.) The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
BID POSTING DATE: No later than 3:30 PM (ET), Thursday, December 19, 2024, unless extended by the Department for good cause.
ALSO, the following RFI have been answered:
1. Question: Project specifications have no information regarding hardware.
Answer: Refer to the document “ 08 71 00 Door Hardware” which has been added to the public files, at:

2. Question: There is no information regarding hollow metal [doors].
Answer: Refer to the document “08 11 13 - HOLLOW METAL DOORS AND FRAMES”, also added to the public files, at:

3. Question: There is a section for FRP doors, but the door schedule does not call for any FRP doors.
Answer: Door 102A shall be changed to be an FRP door and frame in lieu of hollow metal door and frame.
4. Question: Plan pages P501, M001, M502, M503, M505 are all blurry and we cannot see the details of the schedules.
Answer: The consultant has printed each of these sheets from the original PDF and is not having any issues with the clarity of the document either in the PDF or in the printed hard copy. Please confirm that you are using a hard copy drawing that you have printed at the full size of the sheet.
5. Question: Note 11 in the general notes states that all excavation is to be done by hand at a minimum depth of 24 inches. The plans show us having to go under a sidewalk and roadway to tie into the utility transformer. Machinery is needed to get conduits across both sidewalk and roadway.
Answer: Machine digging is acceptable where the underground area is clear of utilities, tree roots and planted areas. Contractor is to replace utilities and planted areas damaged by machine digging with new.
6. Question: In the warranty section of all the electrical specification pages, it states that the warranty period is to be in place for 5 years from the date of substantial completion. Our typical warranty period is 1 year. Is this information accurate in regard to a 5 year warranty period?
Answer: Contractor is to extend the warranty past 1 year to 5 years for the following electrical equipment: transformers, panels, and disconnects.
In all other respects, the contract documents of which this is an Addendum, and attachments relative thereto, shall remain in full force and effect.
