TO BIDDERS AND PLAN HOLDERS ON THE ABOVE REFERENCED PROJECT: PLEASE NOTE CONTENTS HEREIN AND INCLUDE, SIGNED, WITH YOUR BID SUBMISSION.
NOTICE
It will be required that this addendum be signed in acknowledgment of receipt and that it be included with your Bid when same is submitted to Laurinda Micheels, Contracts Specialist, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Blvd., MS #520, Tallahassee, Florida, 32399-3000. Failure to do so may be grounds for rejection of the Bid.

The following statements supersede & supplement the corresponding items in the specifications & drawings:
1. Question: Concerning the Proposed Dry Retention Pond, we cannot find any elevation or specs?
Answer: The “proposed” retention pond shown on the site plan is not part of the scope for this project. The pond was constructed as part of the original construction of the facility. The original construction drawings were utilized on this rehabilitation project as a location map for the proposed work at the facility entrance.
2. Question: Does the red concrete go back RED?
Answer: The replacement concrete does not need to be colored.
3. Question: A100 Site Plans indicates proposed underground utilities, site lighting, dry retention pond, etc. – are these items part of this project? If so, are there Civil drawings available?
Answer: The “proposed” items on the site plan are not part of the scope for this project. They were constructed as part of the original construction of the facility. The original construction drawings were utilized on this rehabilitation project as a location map for the proposed work at the facility entrance.
4. Question: We do not see any specifications for the following items: standing seam metal roof, flashing or gutter; aluminum windows; paint; and card readers.
Answer: The standing seam roof, windows, and paint shall match the existing. Original product specifications are unknown. Below is the basis of design for each.
a. Standing Seam Metal Roof, Flashing or Gutter.
Answer: “Superlok” 24 gauge mechanically seamed roofing system as manufactured by MBCI is the basis of design.
b. Aluminum Windows.
Answer: Existing drawings indicate the windows were manufactured by CARADCO which is no longer in business. Jeld-Wen and Fenster Components are manufacturers that provide windows matching CARADCO. These are the basis of design.
c. Paint.
Answer: Sherwin-Williams, Emerald Exterior Acrylic Latex Paint is the basis of design.
d. Card Readers. Are we replacing existing or installing new? If new, are the operators/power existing?
Answer: There is no existing card reader system. No operators or power is existing. Contractor shall provide rough-ins (conduit and backboxes) for access control system as well as devices and the low voltage wiring. Only one door requires an ADA operator.
5. Question: Can we visit the site to observe existing conditions?
Answer: Yes, you need to contact Lia Sansom or her representative for access. Reach her at: Lia.Sansom@dep.state.fl.us or (904) 380-8602.
6. Question: How long can we shut the front down for?
Answer: Front will be shut down during construction. Visitors will be issued in via another entrance.
In all other respects, the contract documents of which this is an Addendum, and attachments relative thereto, shall remain in full force and effect.
