Active Transportation Plan Update

Provide professional engineering, environmental, planning, public outreach, and design services related to updating the City’s Active Transportation Plan (ATP), previously adopted in December 2019.

The City of Thousand Oaks is located in eastern Ventura County and consists of 56 square miles. The City population is approximately 127,000. The City is a general law city operating under the Council/Manager form of government. The City Council is comprised of five elected members, with one member serving as Mayor on an annual basis. On July 18, 2023, the City Council adopted an ordinance which will move the City to district-based elections starting in November 2024.

The City seeks a qualified consultant to update the ATP in conformance with Federal and State standards. The updated ATP will serve as a guide for the development of multimodal projects that best meet the needs of the community since its adoption in 2019 (See Attachment A – 2019 ATP).

The completion date for this service is anticipated to be approximately one year upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
