WRITTEN QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS SUBMITTED
1. QUESTION: I want to ask if you have an estimated budget cost for this project?
ANSWER: The engineer’s estimate for this project is $15,500,000.
2. QUESTION: I am reaching out to inquire how addenda notifications would be received
for this project.
ANSWER: Providence City Hall will send out the addendum directly to anyone that has
pulled the RFP from the City site/Bid Net. The addendum will also be posted on Bid Net
and the City website for additional vendors to see and pull.
3. QUESTION: I’m reaching out to clarify the apprenticeship requirements for the
Providence Water Accelerated Lead Service Line Replacement Program – Contract 3.2.
Specifically, is the requirement for contractors to participate in a state-registered
apprenticeship program in any state, or must the program be registered specifically in
Rhode Island? In reading the spec, our interpretation is that the apprenticeship program
can be registered in any state and if an award is received then we will meet to discuss
the process and protocols by which the apprenticeship program goals will be achieved.
Can you please advise?
ANSWER: Please refer to the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training (DLT) for
questions regarding registered apprenticeship programs and requirements.
