Title of Project: Abdominal Insufflator
Scope of Work: The vendor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this statement of need (SOW), except as may otherwise be specified. The contractor shall provide (1) abdominal insufflator device, cart, and accessories.
Background: The Lebanon VA Medical Center (LVAMC) requires lifecycle replacement of the existing abdominal insufflator. Devise will provide software-controlled insufflation of carbon dioxide during procedures where the abdomen needs to be inflated for visibility and maneuverability. Carbon dioxide is more rapidly absorbed than room air and helps minimize the patients post procedure bloating and cramping.
Performance Period: Delivery shall occur within 45 days of contract award and in coordination with the POC.
Type of Contract: Firm Fixed Price
General Requirement: The LVAMC Radiology department requires (1) Insufflator, to include accessories, installation and training. The insufflator must meet the salient characteristics listed below:

Touch screen with fully customizable settings Â
Backlit color LCD touch screen - includes volume pause, change in gas source, language selector, ready to scan feature.
C02 insufflation that can be monitored and recorded
Automated, low pressure C02 insufflation
CO2 supply cylinder gage- visual and audible alerts when running low
Regulated Pressure
Auto over-insufflation alerts
Visual displays - pressure and volume
One-touch pressure venting
Safety shut down features
Minimum 1 year warranty on all items
Accessory Cart: The cart provides storage for the CO2 cylinders and a has a dedicated holder for the administration sets and has locking wheels.
High pressure C02 hose with yoke
Installation and Training: On-site vendor installation and training is required and shall be coordinated with the POC.
Warranty of Equipment: Contractor must provide manufacturer warranty on all provided equipment and supplies for first year from date of receipt and verification of installation/operation.
