Description

The City of Houston (City) seeks a service that will provide an expedited means of selling and disposing of the items that are deemed abandoned. The Houston Police Department (HPD) Property Room currently contains over 300,000 items of property and evidence. Thousands of pieces of property are, by law, deemed abandoned and available for final disposal. The Houston Airport System (HAS) disposes of lost and found items 30 days after the end of the month in which they were found, as they are abandoned at that point in time.
